Brand new additions compared to the Elite Visa

These brand new Thailand Privilege memberships offer multiple differences and additional benefits to set themselves apart from the standard Thai Elite Visa. With a membership duration of 5 years, Thailand Privilege's GOLD Membership almost feels like an improvement when compared to its Elite Easy Access counterpart. Privilege Points System

Allows for greater flexibility in choosing privileges while in Thailand. This is what sets it apart the most from the elite visa as now, any privileges are selectable.
GOLD Members can choose which privileges they would like by spending privilege points on it. Your membership is no longer limited to a few privileges unlike with the elite visa.
For GOLD Memberships, members are entitled to 20 free points per year.
Privilege points are reset annually for a fresh new start every year. This means, if you spent 18 points this year for example, the following year it will reset back to 20.

Upgradable from the Elite Visa's Easy Access membership

Holders of a 5-year Elite Easy Access membership are able to upgrade to the GOLD package and its privileges and services, free of charge.

Annual Fees (THB): 50,000 Baht (approximately $1,380 USD).
Validity: remaining validity period on the Elite Easy Access.

NOTE: The upgrade services to transfer from the old elite visas to the new Thailand Privilege membership commences in January 2024.

How to apply for a
Thailand Privilege Gold Membership Package

Required Documents

Completed and signed Thailand Privilege Gold membership application form
Signed Personal Data and protection Act (PDPA) form
Passport photocopy (in color, with the signature of the passport visible)
Photo of the applicant (passport-sized and in color)

Application Process

Complete and sign the required application and PDPA forms and send all documentation to Siam Legal.
Complete the background check assessed by the Thai Immigration authorities.
Await receipt of the approval letter and invoice.
Pay your membership fees to Thailand Privilege Card.
Await receipt of the welcome letter and membership ID. While optional, members can also choose to acquire a physical membership card.
Affix your 5-years visa to your travel document.
Celebrate and bask in all the wonderful privileges and benefits that the GOLD membership rewards you with.

Timeline and Duration

Total: 1 to 3 months (depending on nationality)
Background checks: between 4 to 6 weeks
Payment Confirmation: between 1-2 weeks
Receiving the Welcome kit (welcome letter and membership ID): 5 to 10 working days after payment has been cleared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 5-year membership upgradable?

Yes, those with a Thailand Elite GOLD Membership can upgrade it to a 10, 15, or 20 year package.

I am a holder of the old Thai Elite Visa, can I upgrade to a GOLD Membership?

Yes. Those holding one of the old Thai Elite Visas are welcome to enhance their experience in Thailand by upgrading to the new Thailand Privilege packages. If you have an Elite Easy Access membership, you are eligible to upgrade to a GOLD membership for no additional fees at all. If you want to acquire the primary card however, you have to spend 50,000 THB a year.

Do you receive any free bank account assistance, driver’s licence assistance, and 90-day reporting with the GOLD Membership?

GOLD members can hire an Elite Personal Liaison (EPL) to assist members in acquiring their bank account, driver’s licence and to conduct a 90-day reporting on their behalf. However, these services will require privilege points to be spent on them each time.

Can a family member apply for this membership?

An applicant’s family member is welcome to apply for a GOLD Membership, however they will have to pay the exact same price of 900,000 THB and go through the exact same process as the core applicant. There are no extra benefits granted to the family member if applying to a GOLD Membership.

Is the GOLD Membership Card transferable?

The GOLD Membership Card is non-transferable. Any friends or additional family members would need to acquire their own GOLD membership as if they are a new applicant.
