Finding the right partner in life is challenging. Some people even travel the world in search for that someone with whom they can grow old with.  The search has led many westerners to find their match in Thailand. With the advent of technology, people from opposite sides of the world get to meet and establish a relationship.  While online dating provides a fairly good start to the relationship, there is no better option but for the couple to meet personally.

While getting to Thailand is easy, the whole process of dating in Thailand may tricky and daunting, especially for an inter-racial couple.  More than a mix of personalities, there is a deeper concern for the fusion of backgrounds, culture, and family orientation and upbringing. If relationships of the same race are difficult, the more that it is challenging for interracial relationships. For the western party, it is a must to respect not only the Thai partner, but also her family and community.  Regard must also be given to tradition and norms.  Remember that much can be said and known about your person depending on how you will present yourself to your partner, to her family, and her friends.
